What is OTTAVIA?
Ottavia is modular and sectional keyboard. Each single module (1 ottave, 12 dynamic keys) can be used individually in stand-alone mode or together with others composing a complete piano keyboard.
The same object can therefore be used for studio work, where the musician uses 1 or 2 octaves, or for live performances, where 7/8 octaves are used. The modularity of the instrument reduces its size, and therefore facilitates its portability.

The Idea
How many times at the end of the evening we cursed the singer who finished playing puts the microphone in the bag and returns home quiet? “If I born again I'll play the flute”, how many times have we said it? Here it takes an idea to change music, it takes my Ottavia.
